How much is an eye exam for contacts?
Our doctors are experts at prescribing contact lenses! Our contact lens exams also include your general eye health exam and eyeglass prescription and start at only $139. The fee may be and additional $20 to $40 more if you wear more complex contact lenses for astigmatism or multifocals. What is Retinal Imaging?
Retinal Imaging involves using an advanced laser scan or camera to take an image of your retina so our doctors can more easily diagnose potential eye disease. We use Optomap Retinal Imaging in our practice which is fast, comfortable and does not require the eyes to be dilated. Our doctors request this to be performed annually for all of our patients so that we can provide the most convenient and comprehensive eye care. For more info please visit the Optomap Retinal Imaging page on our website.
Is Retinal Imaging Required?
Our doctors feel that this is the most comprehensive screening tool available for our patients and request this to be done on an annual basis for all of our patients. It allows the doctor to uncover early signs of eye disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal disease, diabetes, and hypertension. If you are under the care of another eye doctor such as a retinal specialist, or prefer to opt-out of this test, you may do this by completing a short waiver when you arrive for your exam.
Do you take my insurance?
We take many major vision and medical insurance plans. Please submit your insurance information when you schedule online or over the phone and our staff will do everything possible to maximize your benefits. In the unlikely case that we do not accept your particular plan we have low self-pay fees and will give you an itemized statement at the end of your visit that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
