Eye care doesn’t have to be complicated and expensive. At Great Hills Eye Care, we provide an array of eye care services with an emphasis on promoting clear vision and healthy eyes. Our mission is to make quality eye care convenient and affordable.

Comprehensive Eye Exams

The first step to clear vision and healthy eyes is a comprehensive wellness exam by our trusted optometrists. We evaluate the health of the eye in order to diagnose any potential vision or health complications. These issues include myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, dry eye, eye allergies, glaucoma, macular degeneration and more. To make our comprehensive eye exams thorough and efficient, we use a state-of- the-art digital refraction system to test your vision.

Contact Lens Evaluations

Our doctors love to help you see clearly in contact lenses! We know Austin can be a tough environment for many contact lens wearers due to dry eye and allergies so we have the newest daily disposable options available and take the time to review your specific needs. We also have the newest multifocal contact lenses and lenses for astigmatism available.

OPTOMAP wide-field retinal imaging

One of the most important parts of the eye examination is evaluating the health of the retina. Evaluating this part of the eye has typically been done with dilation which uses eyedrops and causes 6-8 hours of light sensitivity and blurry vision afterwards. Now, with the newest Optomap technology, we can get a comprehensive view of your retinal health without the need for eyedrops. Most patients prefer this quick and easy option, which also gives us the added benefit of allowing your eye health to be tracked over time.

Visual Field Testing

Our office uses a computerized visual field test to help uncover signs of early glaucoma and eye disease in at-risk patients. This test can help us track changes in eye health over time and diagnose disease that cannot be seen with the microscope.
