Great Hills Eye Care is growing again! We are excited to welcome the newest member of our dedicated team of optometrists, Dr. Marcia Truong
Dr. Marcia Truong was born in California. She attended San Jose State University where she obtained her bachelor’s in chemistry followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree at Illinois College of Optometry. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Texas Optometry Board as a therapeutic optometrist.
Dr. Truong completed her clinical internship at the Illinois College of optometry, where she managed a wide range of ocular diseases, including red eyes, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. She then completed a clinical externship at Veterans Affairs hospital in The Villages, Florida where she managed cataracts and post-operative care. Lastly, she completed 2 private practice internships where she provided primary care optometry, specialty contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment and myopia management.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Truong enjoys spending time with her dog, friends, and family, especially when there is good food and board games. Her other hobbies including solving puzzles, making sweet baked goods, crocheting/knitting, and art and craft projects.
Dr. Truong will be seeing patients primarily in North Austin, Pflugerville, and Georgetown locations. She works closely with Dr. Provost, Dr. Carneglia, Dr. Tillotson, Dr. Patel, and Dr. Do to uphold our practice’s high standard of care. Our goal is to be the best and most trusted eye care team in Austin.
